The work
Salwa's art returns again and again to the same places and people: Jerusalem's domes and stone archways, olive trees and doves, grieving mothers and fathers, homes reduced to rubble, embroidered thobes and the keffiyeh.
She works across painting, relief and intaglio printmaking, Arabic calligraphy, collage, cast relief and shadow-box assemblage. The collection on this site holds 35 works in 6 series.
